I've managed to get the Windows version of Sim City working on my Macbook with Wine. It's nice there's no need to buy the Mac version.
Unfortunately, however, it crashes about every hour like it does on Windows so you have to save all the time. There are a few annoying things other than the crashes. The game isn't fullscreen and the mouse falls out of the game. Scrolling is made harder because of this. It seems the game is also slightly slower but it is only a very small difference and is still playable, especially when the closest zoom with no cars is used. The game runs surprisingly well considering it is using Wine.
I've played it on Windows before I got a Mac and to this day I still think it's a brilliant game. I'll post screenshots of my City once it grows.
