N64 Emulator

Postby Matthew Mitchell » June 23rd, 2010, 10:25 pm

I found one for Mac. It's called Sixty Force. I tried Goldeneye and Mario Kart. Mario Kart runs with no problems, Goldeneye is a bit choppy unfortunately and I couldn't figure out the control system.

I'll try out my USB N64 controller adapter or I may even try out connecting my SIXAXIS for fun. If I can connect two controllers at once, that would be great.

I may try out connecting my MacBook to my TV to see if that will work now that several OSX updates have passed. I doubt it though. It never worked correctly before.

I haven't yet tried a gamecube emulator. I doubt there would be any good enough ones to get decent framerates.

Thinking about controllers, I'll have to think about controller support for my game.

Perfect dark is the only game I really want to emulate, and it doesn't work well with sixty force.... if you don't believe me, start up combat simulator, skedar. look at the ceiling where it would normally open up to sky... freezeframes galore!
