CryEngine 3 development shown working on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 at he same time
A video with footage of the CryEngine 3 at the GamesCom trade fair shows how easy CryEngine 3 makes it to develop new games for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 all at the same time! It also shows how good the graphics are and gives a comparison between different platforms. Watch the full video below in high definition.
Free Radical Design was apparently working on DS games
According to a profile on a website for a previous Free Radical Design programmer, Dave Conley, he was working on some “unreleased titles for the Nintendo DS”. In the context it was written it suggests he was working on DS games at his time with Free Radical Design unless he was working for another company for a short while.
Dave has worked on Second Sight and Timesplitters Future Perfect for Xbox, Gamecube and PS2, Haze for Playstation 3 and a number of currently unreleased titles for the Nintendo DS.
It has been suspected by many that Free Radical Design could have been working on Nintendo DS, or possibly Wii, games. Crytek would have acquired the games with the purchase of Free Radical Design and in the future we may find these DS games coming from Crytek UK. It is likely those would be put on hold if they they do exist while Crytek UK gains in size.
I am trying to gain complete confirmation for this and will update this post if I receive it.

Karl Hilton and Steve Ellis continue to work at Crytek UK
According to recent reports Karl Hilton and Steve Ellis will both still be working for Crytek UK. This information comes in despite that Steve Ellis has joined Dave Doak to form the new company, Pumpkin Beach. Steve’s future contribution to Crytek UK is therefore unknown. It is however known that Karl Hilton has become the Studio Manager for Crytek UK. The total number of employees at Crytek UK has started at 43.
